Growing up, we used to love cakes and baked goods. We would cry for hours unending until our parents got us a piece. Few day earlier, we want to celebrate a friends birthday but due to this pandemic situation we can’t be able to go to the bakery shop and get a cake for him. So, we decided to bake a fruit cake on our own. The best part in baking , the slow process of dough rises in the oven and the house becomes saturated with the scents of butter and flour and chocolate; pulling the pans out of the oven and finding the dough transformed into something golden and perfect.

Baking is a way of relaxing. You will love that smile and people’s faces when they taste your baked goods or pie. In this tough times make your family, kids, friend feel special by making their favourite baking goods for their special moment in your kitchen.

Here are a list of Some baking Recipes with which you can bake yours and their day.     

Baking item #1Brownies

Brownies
  • Ingredients
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 large eggs
  • 14 teaspoon baking powder
  • 13 cup cocoa powder
  • 14 teaspoon salt
  • 12 cup flour
  • Directions:
  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  2. In a Large Bowl Mix oil and sugar until well blended.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla; stir just until blended.
  4. Mix Baking Powder, cocoa powder, salt and flour in a separate bowl.
  5. Then add them into the oil/sugar mixture.
  6. Pour into greased 9 x 9 square pan.
  7. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until sides just starts to pull away from the pan.
  8. Cool completely before Cutting.

Baking item #2 – Chocolate Chip Cookies

Chocolate Chip Cookies
  • Ingredients
  • 2/3 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 2/3 cup granulated white sugar
  • 8 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt (use 1/2 teaspoon salt if you use salted butter)
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon almond extract (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cups  All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 cups chocolate chips*(Add Some extra amount of chocolate chips if you want)
  • Directions
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Lightly grease the two baking sheets.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the sugars, butter, shortening, salt, vanilla and almond extracts, vinegar, and baking soda, beating until smooth and creamy.
  4. Beat in the egg, again beating until smooth. Scrape the bottom and sides of the bowl with a spatula to make sure everything is thoroughly combined.
  5. Mix in the flour, then the chips.
  6. Use a spoon (or a tablespoon cookie scoop) to scoop 1 1/4″ balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving 2″ between them on all sides; they’ll spread.
  7. Bake the cookies for 11 to 12 minutes, until their edges are chestnut brown and their tops are light golden brown, almost blonde.
  8. Remove the cookies from the oven, and cool on the pan until they’ve set enough to move without breaking. Repeat with the remaining dough.

Baking Recipe #3 – Muffins

Muffins
  • Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees C.
  2. Stir together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar in a large bowl.
  3. In a bowl beat egg with a fork. Stir in milk and oil. Pour all at once into the well in the flour mixture.
  4. Mix quickly and lightly with a fork until moistened, but do not beat. The batter will be lumpy.
  5.  Pour the batter into paper lined muffin pan cups.
  6. You can also make Raisin Muffins by adding 1 cup finely chopped raisins. Cheese Muffins: Fold in 1 cup grated sharp yellow cheese.
  7. Bake for 25 minutes, or until golden.
  8. Ready for Serving.

Baking Recipe #4 – Cheese Cake

  • Ingredients
  • Butter, for coating the pan
  • 2 pounds full-fat cream cheese
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 teaspoons freshly squeezed lemon juice (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 large egg yolk

For the crust:

  • Whole graham cracker rectangles (6 ounces)
  • 5 tablespoon unsalted Butter.
  • Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  2. Coat the pan with butter. 
  3. Mix graham crumbs, butter and ¼ sugar, press onto bottom of 9-inch springform pan.
  4. Mix the cream cheese, and remaining sugar, cornstarch, and salt on medium-low speed until the mixture is creamy
  5. Mix in the sour cream, lemon juice, and vanilla.
  6. Mix in the eggs and yolk one at a time. 
  7. Pour the batter over the cooled crust. 
  8. Bake the cheesecake for 1 hour to 1 hour 10 minutes.
  9. Cool the cheesecake in the oven for some time.
  10. Run a knife around the edge of the cake and cool the cake completely. 
  11. Chill the cheesecake for 4 hours in the refrigerator. 
  12. Top the cheesecake and serve

Baking Recipe #5 – Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

  • Ingredients
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 3 cups quick cooking oats
  • Directions
  1. Preheat the oven to 190 degrees celsius.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix cream together butter, white sugar, and brown sugar.
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
  4. Then add flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon powder, stir into the creamed mixture.
  5. Mix in oats. Cover, and chill dough for at least one hour.
  6. Roll the dough into medium sized balls, and place some inches apart on cookie sheets.
  7. Apply Brush dipped in sugar To flattened the cookies.
  8. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in preheated oven.
  9. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes.
  10. Serve and Enjoy.
